Metro Station RIO
Former capital of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, is home to almost 7 million people. And while mobility is an issue in any large city, chaos often reigns in Rio. In 2005, plans for a brand new city transportation system were set in motion. Plans to give the city’s cramped transport network some breathing room.
BAR designed the route and the main stations of this light rail network that runs both above and below the ground. An exciting venture and a huge step forward for Brazil’s second largest city.
