Die Keure Brugge
Die Keure – one of Belgium’s biggest publishing groups – is undergoing profound changes: its urban industrial site in the south of Bruges will soon be transformed into a residential area featuring both individual houses and apartment blocks, while respecting the surrounding architecture. The site happens to be one of the last remaining industrial areas in the centre of Bruges: a so-called “brownfield.” BAR collaborated with three other architecture offices on this project. The result is a collection of low-key, low-energy houses with a brick façade. The project is currently ongoing.
